11. your
song and/or the first song you danced to at your wedding
The song we
wanted to dance to was Enchanted by Taylor Swift. We both thought, though, that
it was a little too fast for a slow dance. We should have just done it
though…we kind of regret that now. We ended up dancing to Two is Better than
One by Boys like Girls ft. Taylor Swift. We really liked that song and it was a
good speed, but not significant meaning.

favorite part of the day and least favorite part of the day: can be anything.
My favorite part
of the day was when Clay and I were sitting in the temple before we were
married. I was a little nervous the whole time, but it was so nice to be in
such a beautiful place with the person that I love. It was very calming and
peaceful. My least favorite part of the day was pictures. My mouth hurt by the
end of the day. So much smiling and posing. Obviously I am happy to have them,
and wouldn’t have done anything differently, they just took up so much time. We
took pictures after we came out of the temple-some with family and friends, and
then just us. Then we went to our luncheon, which was awesome! Food was
amazing! Then we had a short hour or so break, and then more pictures at our
reception place. It was one of the best days of my life-and one of the busiest!

honeymoon: where did you go?
We went on our
honeymoon to Park City, Utah. Not the most exotic, but Clay and I always joke
that we really went on our honeymoon to Lawrence, KS. We moved to Kansas a week
and a half after we got married. We had to budget for that, so we really didn’t
have a lot of money to spend on a fancy honeymoon. We are planning on doing a
big trip after law school. Clay really wants to go to Brazil to visit the
places he lived while on his mission, and I really want to go to Hawaii. We
also want to do a cruise. Who knows what life will be like in another 2 years,
but we are excited for our next big trip!

thoughts on marriage: what is the easiest/hardest part? if you could change
anything, what would it be?
Marriage is the
best. I’ve seen quotes saying that marriage is like having a sleepover with
your best friend every night. I love that at night, Clay and I don’t have to
say goodbye and go to separate apartments. I love always having him close and
never having to really leave (for the most part ;). I love that I married such
a kind and considerate person and that I get to be with him for eternity, not
just ‘till death do us part. The hardest part of marriage, for us, was starting
off as newlyweds and moving across the country for Clay to start law school.
But then again, it has been the biggest blessing. By our 3rd anniversary,
Clay will be done with law school! We didn’t have to worry about him finishing
an undergrad and then wanting to go another 3 years in grad school. It also has
been a blessing living away from family. We miss our families dearly, but we
have grown so much closer having to rely on each other.

first place that you lived together: pics if you have them!
We live in KU married student housing. We wanted something somewhat reasonable pricewise (it's our first apartment-it's not suppose to be nice. Right?) and it is within walking distance to the law school. I can't wait until we know where we will end up after law school so we can get a nice apartment with new furniture! Most of the things in our apartment were given to us by my parents-which we are so thankful for! The couches we have are my parents old ones. My mom was happy to give them to us because it meant she was able to get new ones. We bought our kitchen table for $25 from someone who was moving out when we were moving in. We really didn't have to by too much. However, since everything was pretty much "hand me downs" I am so excited for the day when we can buy our own things. Clay just needs to find a job first.
We actually have a 2nd room which is Clay's study room/storage room. It's a little messy so I didn't take any pictures of that. I was too lazy to take updated pictures, so they are about a year old. We have changed a few things. Our curtains are different in the living room and instead of the black boxy display thing in the living room, we put the matching love seat in the living room so they is more seating room when we have people over.

kids: do you have any yet? if not, when do you plan on it? how many do you
want?
No kids yet. I
would like 3 kids, Clay wants 4. We will see. We are hoping to wait until after
law school to start our family.
17. most
recent picture of you and your significant other and what you love most about
them :) and any other thoughts.
This picture was taken about a year ago, but I really like this one of us!
What I love most
about Clay is that he is so kind to me and always wants the best for me. He is
so helpful and is always asking what he can do for me. He is funny and makes me
laugh. We have fun when we are out doing stuff, but we also have fun just
sitting around the apartment doing nothing. He is kind to others and will go
out of his way to help someone. I love him so much and am so happy I get to
spend eternity with him!
